Educational Background

Trish Bertrand, LPC

Hi, I'm Trish Bertrand (she/her) - A licensed therapist (LPC), holistic practitioner, and founder of Healing Reimagined Counseling & Wellness in Hurst, TX. I offer both in-person sessions and virtual sessions to clients throughout Texas.

I believe healing isn’t about fixing what’s broken, it’s about remembering what’s been there all along.  My approach blends evidence-based therapy with holistic, mind–body practices to help you reconnect with your emotions, your body, and your sense of self.

I am committed to providing a healing space that allows you to heal by attaining the tools, knowledge, and support that you need.

Together, we’ll use tools like EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), mindfulness, and somatic awareness, and healing sounds to help your nervous system feel safe again.

I also have a passion for working with couples because this is where out emotional wounds often show up. I will help you to deepen your self-compassion, approach your partner with openness and curiosity, increase connection, and improve overall communication.

As a trauma-informed and holistic therapist, my work is guided by values of compassion, authenticity, and connection. Clients often tell me our sessions feel grounding and real...a place where they can finally let go.

If you’re ready to stop carrying invisibility and begin rediscovering who you are beneath survival mode, I’m here, and so is the support that you have been looking for.

About EMDR

I came to EMDR because I kept seeing clients who understood their patterns intellectually but couldn't shift them. They had the insight. They had done the work. And something was still stuck.

EMDR works at the level where those experiences are actually stored — not in your thoughts, but in your nervous system. I've watched it help people move through things in a handful of sessions that years of talk therapy hadn't been able to touch. That's why it's become a cornerstone of how I work.

EMDR has been extensively researched and is recognized as a gold-standard treatment for trauma and PTSD.  It is also effective for anxiety, depression, and deeply held negative beliefs about yourself too. It doesn't require you to retell your story in detail. It just asks your brain to do what it was always designed to do...heal.

About ART

I added Accelerated Resolution Therapy to my practice because some people need something that moves a little differently, and ART delivers results that still genuinely surprise me.

Like EMDR, ART uses eye movements, or another form of bilateral stimulation,  to help the brain reorganize how distressing memories and images are stored.

What's unique about ART is that it's highly directive and often remarkably brief. Many people notice significant shifts within just one to three sessions. It's particularly effective for anxiety, phobias, PTSD, and experiences that feel too overwhelming to approach through traditional talk therapy.

If you've tried other approaches and felt like something wasn't quite reaching the root of it, ART might be worth exploring.
